After losing all their money, Clara and Roberto meticulously craft a scam, using their impeccable appearance and “rich” status to deceive their victims, including their close friend, Javier. The setting? An abandoned estate on the outskirts of the city, where they have created an almost theatrical setting to execute their scam.
Director's Statement
Hello everyone,
You’ve probably heard beautiful and inspiring stories about financial prosperity and personal or spiritual growth. There are people out there selling these ideas in the form of magic potions, dubious products, or so-called life-changing courses… Well, my story is about that…
I wanted to focus on: “Where do these people come from? What do these courses offer? Who are they? What motivates them?” This is what I aim to explore through the story of Clara and Roberto… a story that isn’t real, but is inspired by experiences that friends and family have lived through.
I wanted to explore: “How far are people willing to go to get what they want… or to recover what they’ve lost?”
This story is a satire about business and supposed gurus who promise prosperity and wealth in exchange for money, using superficiality and banality to deceive the most vulnerable. White Crows is not a story about heroes; it’s the beginning of the downfall of two future villains.
